THROWS PENTATHLON, SEPTEMBER 13
A throws pentathlon will be held at Dunbar Park, Marsfield, at 9am sharp on Sunday, September 13. Entry fee is $5. The event will be useful preparation for throwers entered in the AMA Winter Throws Championships in Canberra over the October long weekend – and the World Masters Game in Sydney.

BLUE STARS OPEN THE GATES
The Illawarra Blue Stars will offer any events that Masters athletes wish on Sunday, September 6 and 13, commencing at 2pm. The idea of this is to have masters get together to prepare for the World Masters Games in Sydney in October.
Conducted at Kerryn McCann Athletic Centre (formerly Beaton Park), with two sprints, one distance race, one throwing event (possibly two for masters) and one jump each week.
Masters athletes are encouraged to use these meets as lead-up to the WMG and the only fee required is the entry fee into the centre.
But why not come on down to the gong this Sunday and join your colleagues? I’m sure they can put your event on for you and give you some competition.
